IOI 2014

International Olympiad in Informatics, 2014 Results
CodeChef has extended their Go For Gold program, which was created to see an Indian college student win gold at the ACM ICPC world finals to the Indian Middle/High School students. More on the ACM ICPC Go For Gold program can be read here.

Under our IOI Go For Gold initiative we want to see a Indian middle/high school student win gold medal at International Olympiads in Informatics.

It gives us immense pleasure that only in its second year our Go For Gold program found its first claimant in Akshat Bubna of the Amity International School by winning the Gold medal at the IOI. Among the other students who brought glory to India were:

  • Malvika Raj Joshi of Chashak Gurukul, Mumbai (Silver at IOI).
  • Pushkar Mishra, Delhi Public School, R K Puram, New Delhi
  • Nihal Pednekar, Late P.B. Jog Jr. College, Pune

We wish to see more and more students taking up computer programming while they are in school and to bring glory to their school, parents, and the whole nation.
