Due to Covid-19 situation, registration has been temporarily closed


  • The exam will be of 3 hour duration under a proctored environment.
  • You will be given 5 problems to solve of different difficulty levels.
  • Each problem has many test files on which it will be evaluated, and you will get partial points for whichever test files that you solve correctly.
  • Different test files have different weightage. Some information regarding these test files will be provided under the "Information to score partial points" section in each problem statement.
  • For a particular problem, your submission with the highest score will be considered, and your final score will be the sum over all the problem scores.
  • If your total score is greater than or equal to the passing score, you will be deemed to have passed the exam.
  • You can submit solutions as many times as you'd like, there are no penalties for incorrect submissions. Only your best correct submission will be considered.
  • There will be no access to the internet.

  • Documentation:
  • The exam will be conducted in one of the centres identified by CodeChef under the supervision of CodeChef staff.
  • The candidates can register for the exam on the CodeChef website, mentioning their choice of exam centre and the level of certification that they wish to apply for.
  • On the day of the scheduled exam, the candidates have to appear at the given examination centre to take the test.
  • There will be no access to any resource, online or offline, made available to the candidate during the duration of the exam.
